Sophie- Epileptic & Blind

Sophie is one of our very special sanctuary cats.  She is blind, has gastric issues and is also epileptic, but she's HAPPY!  She requires daily seizure meds ongoing for her lifetime.

ADOPTED 12/2023

Ziggy - FIV +: ADOPTED 12/23!

Ziggy was with us for FOUR years before he found his person.   FIV +, black and an adult all made him "less adoptable" to the Gen public.   We knew how special he was and sure enough, his new Mom did do!   Happy Life Ziggy!

Smokey - Epileptic and "special"!

Smokey came to us as a 3 week old kitten who had suffered some kind of traumatic brain injury - but had a will to live!  He had a blood transfusion and turned out to be epileptic with some neuro deficits, and mostly blind in his right eye, but don't tell him because he has NO idea he isn't a "normal cat"!    He is also on daily seizure meds and will be for his lifetime.

Walter - HW +

Walter was left outside after his owners moved.   At only 2 years old, he came to us heartworm positive and was positive in both antigens and antibodies.  Unfortunately, there is no cure for heartworms in cats; however, he stays on monthly meds and we keep a close eye on any respiratory issues that may arise.
